Things to consider…

1. Do you satisfy the current ratio?

The current ratio shows the amount of current assets of a business in relation to its current liabilities and helps determine financial sustainability. The minimum current ratio for a licensee is 1:1. i.e.  at least $1 in current assets for every $1 of current liabilities.

2. What are net tangible assets?

Net Tangible Assets (NTA) is the total assets of a business, less any intangible asset. These can be things like goodwill, patents, and trademarks, less all liabilities. Your NTA will determine the maximum revenue (MR) you can earn in the coming year.

3. Can my gross maximum revenue be exceeded?

You are permitted to exceed your Maximum Revenue (MR) by up to 10 per cent without obtaining prior approval from QBCC. If you believe you will exceed your MR by more than 10 per cent, prior to doing so, you need to provide QBCC with either a new financial declaration or Minimum Financial Requirements Report. If you are planning to increase or decrease turnover over $800,000, one of our QBCC specialists and advisers will need to prepare a Minimum Financial Report for you.

As a business that has been around for 21 years, the Gold Coast and surrounding communities have become very important to us. When we turn to our community and ask for help the responses come back in waves, and naturally, we want to be able to do that for other people, businesses and organisations.

We love to get out from behind our desks and get involved in the community. Our Social Responsibility Officer is always on the lookout for ways we can give back, and the team is all hands on deck whenever an opportunity arises.

We've had some amazing experiences

Some of our favourite experiences have been working with the Animal Welfare League Queensland, volunteering with Bonogin Valley Bushcare Group and making more than 5000 sandwiches to feed hungry kids with Eat Up Australia. We also have a close relationship with 10 Cent Tom and the Cancer Support Sisters.

For the sports lovers, we have a social basketball team, which includes both current and former staff members.

Our team are also very passionate about fundraising for different causes, and each month we pick a different organisation or charity to support.

Some of our other treasured causes include The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, who we partner with for our charity golf day, Days for Girls, Frocktober, Somerset Storyfest, Friends with Dignity, the RSPCA, The Gold Coast Community Fund and The Sanctuary.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
  • Exceptional financial analysis capabilities.
  • Stellar communication skills, both in writing and speech.
  • Demonstrated organizational and stress management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proven experience in staff training and management.
